Privacy Policy

Summary

  • You can make and download a card without an account, and we don’t ask for your name or email.
  • The words you write and the photos you add are processed in your browser and are not uploaded to us.
  • With your permission, we use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful. Card text, photos, names and the words you search for are never sent to it. If you decline, no analytics runs.
  • The site shows no advertising. It stores only your analytics choice in your browser.
  • Like every website, our pages are delivered by a web host, which receives standard technical information such as your IP address when your browser requests a page.

Who is responsible

This site is operated by [To be added by the site owner: who runs the site]. For any question about this policy, email[To be added by the site owner: contact email].

Cards and photos you make

The card editor runs in your browser. Text you type, the design choices you make and any photo you add stay on your device. When you add a photo, your browser reads and resizes it locally and keeps it in memory only while the page is open. It is not sent to us or to anyone else.

When you download a card, the image file is created on your device. We do not keep a copy, and the card is not saved between visits: when you close or reload the page, it is gone.

Sharing your card

If your browser supports it, the Share button opens your device’s own share menu. The app you choose there, such as a messaging or email app, receives the image under its own terms and privacy policy. We don’t receive it.

What our web host receives

The site is hosted by [To be added by the site owner: hosting provider]. When your browser loads a page, image, font or script, the host receives the request along with technical information that every web request includes, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the address of the page requested, the referring page and the time. Hosts use this to deliver the site and to protect it from abuse. How long the host keeps this information is set out in the host’s own privacy policy. Apart from Google Analytics, which runs only if you allow it (see below), we add no tracking of our own.

Cookies and browser storage

The site keeps one value in your browser’s local storage: whether you allowed or declined analytics (hbcm-analytics-consent), so we don’t ask again on every page. It contains nothing else and stays on your device.

If you allow analytics, Google Analytics sets the cookies _ga and _ga_HBB9TX5D4E, which hold a random identifier and expire after up to two years. They are not set if you decline. Choosing Decline later underCookie settings deletes them. You can also clear cookies and site data in your browser’s settings at any time.

Our web host may set cookies that are strictly necessary for security or reliability. Its privacy policy describes them.

Analytics and advertising

We use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google LLC (for visitors in the European Economic Area and Switzerland, Google Ireland Limited), to understand how many people visit, which pages they find useful and how they found the site. It runs only after you choose Allow analytics. Until then, your browser makes no request to Google Analytics.

If you allow it, Google Analytics receives:

  • the pages you visit, as addresses without any search words or other text after them;
  • the site that linked you here, reduced to its domain name if it is another site;
  • your approximate location (country and city), device type, browser, screen size and language;
  • the time of each visit and the random identifier in the cookies described above.

Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. We have turned off Google signals and ad personalization, and the site shows no advertising. Google Analytics keeps this information for 14 months. Google processes it under its ownprivacy policy, and it may be processed outside your country.

Card text, photos and recipient names are never sent to an analytics or advertising service. You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings at the bottom of every page.

Fonts and images are served from this site, not from third parties. Some pages, such asLicensing & credits, link to other websites. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which this policy does not cover.

If you email us

If you write to us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use it only to reply to you and to deal with what you raised. We do not add you to a mailing list.

Children

The site does not ask anyone, including children, for personal information. If you believe a child has emailed us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Your choices and requests

Because cards and photos never leave your device, we hold no copy of them to access or delete. You can remove them at any time by closing the page. To stop analytics, choose Cookie settings and then Decline. If you have emailed us and want a copy or deletion of that correspondence, write to[To be added by the site owner: contact email]. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights under local data protection law.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page if the way the site handles information changes, and change the effective date at the top.
