What to write in a birthday card for Grandma

Grandmas treasure messages about family. Thank her for a tradition, a recipe or a story she has passed down, and share a bit of news she will enjoy. If the card is from the grandkids, let them choose the words; a message in their own style makes it even sweeter.

Sample messages to copy

Use one as it is, or start from it and add a detail only you would know.

  • Happy birthday, Grandma. Thank you for the stories, the cookies and the endless patience.

  • Your kitchen is still my favorite place in the world. Happy birthday, Grandma.

  • Happy birthday to the heart of our family. We love you more than words can say.

  • Grandma, you make everyone feel at home. Wishing you a birthday as warm as your hugs.

  • Happy birthday from all your grandkids! You are the best grandma in the whole world.

  • Wishing you a happy birthday, Grandma, and a year full of visits, phone calls and family time.
